Welcome YouTube Creators

Mike McMillan Here

Thank you for watching one or more of my YouTube videos.” –Mike

My goal here is to help you be successful in your YouTube projects, you know–getting more views, more subscribers, and higher retention rates on your videos (all of which are vital)!

You won’t find hundreds, or even thousands of blog posts here. I rotate through 3-4 posts each week and then replace them weekly with newer posts; thus keeping the content fresh and up to date.

You can always visit my InfoProductEarnings channel on YouTube for useful content related to helping you achieve the success you want for your own channel.

All YouTubers Must Do This!

People ask me, “What is the first thing I should do when thinking about a topic for my next video?”

My answer is always the same. Before you get in to actually creating any YouTube videos for your channel you must ask yourself what the purpose of your channel actually is. I very highly recommend you take a pencil and write down the following, “The purpose of my channel is _______________”. And complete that sentence with the specific, laser targeted purpose of your channel.

So, in a single sentence you have the purpose of your channel. I would keep the sentence you create on paper, a note card or an index card right on your desk when you do your video creation and editing. When you are considering a topic for your next video make sure to look at your “purpose sentence” to ensure the topic of your prospective video aligns perfectly with that sentence.

I see too many YouTubers, especially newbies, creating videos with topics all over the place. This is a formula for disaster!

Here is a card I keep in a holder right on my desk where I research, create and edit my own videos.
